We were fortunate enough to be invited to a wedding in New Orleans this past weekend. So many times in life we find ourself checking boxes and completing tasks to be about the "business". Sitting in this beautiful cathedral observing the holy matrimony of the two people who have chosen to commit to the rest of their life to each other caused me to reflect on just how amazing and precious moments that we share with our loved ones are. This was such a refreshing perspective on our busy life. We left the ceremony in typical New Orleans style with a parade (our first) through the French Quarter to the reception hall. The route to the hall was not the most direct because the reason for the parade is the celebration of what has happened. It literally took an additional 20 minutes of walking time to take the route that we did. There is a very important lesson in here for us. Time and loved ones, friends and family need to be celebrated. Today, I don't want to take those for granted. That is truly the best inspiration.
